"Decent rates, but the outages are getting old"
I’ve been with Frontier Utilities for a bit, and compared to some other providers I’ve used, the pricing seemed reasonable at first. The problem is the reliability hasn’t really stacked up. We’ve had a few random outages, and each time it felt like it took too long to get a straight answer about what was happening or when things would be back to normal.
Customer service wasn’t awful or rude, but compared to companies that give quick updates and actually help you feel informed, it was underwhelming. I’m not expecting everything to be perfect, but I do expect the power to stay on more consistently. If it keeps going this way, I’ll probably start looking at other options.

"Switching was fine, just a little annoying"
I switched over to Frontier Utilities when I moved in, and overall it worked out. The service did start on the right day, so that was good. But I did have to call twice to make sure everything was actually set, and yeah, I was on hold longer than I wanted. Moving is already chaotic, so that part was kind of stressful. The price seems okay so far though. Not a terrible experience, just not exactly smooth either.

Most of the time the bills look right, but every now and then I notice something that seems a little off. Just based on how the statements are worded, I get the feeling they assume people won’t question the small stuff unless it’s really obvious

I tried signing up, but the site kept sending me right back to the same page. I had to enter my info twice, and after all that, I still didn’t get a clear confirmation. I always trust my instinct with stuff like this, it didn’t leave a good first impression

"Canceling took way more effort than expected"
I tried to cancel my service the other day, and it turned into way more of a headache than I expected. I was doing it during my lunch break, which probably didn’t help because I only had a little bit of time, but still, it felt like I kept getting passed from one person to another with no clear answer. I just wanted to wrap it up and move on, but it dragged out and got really frustrating. Definitely not something I’d want to deal with again

When my plan renewed, the price jumped a lot more than I expected, and I didn’t feel like it was clearly explained ahead of time. From my point of view, it felt like I was suddenly stuck paying more for basically the same service. Maybe there was fine print somewhere, but as a customer it didn’t come across clearly, and that left me frustrated.

They did reply eventually, but it often took longer than I expected, and some of the answers weren’t very clear. I kind of felt ignored at times, like I had to wait around or follow up to really understand what was going on. It wasn’t a terrible experience, just average overall.

I wanted to like it, and the service seemed decent at first, but then the bill came with surprise fees again. Maybe there’s an explanation, but it definitely left me feeling unsure about coming back...
"This contract feels like a trap"
I swear, trying to deal with this contract made me feel like I needed a lawyer, a flashlight, and possibly a rescue team. There are fees hiding everywhere, and once you’re in, it feels almost impossible to get out without paying for the privilege. Maybe I’m being dramatic, but the whole thing came off super shady and way more stressful than it needed to be.

The site was fine overall, but I had to bounce around a bit to figure out the differences between the plans. Maybe I was just tired because I was doing it after dinner with a half-finished cup of tea next to me, but some of the details weren’t super easy to compare. I did end up finding what I needed, it just took longer than I expected.

The rates sounded reasonable when I spoke with them on the phone, but then extra fees started showing up later. To me, that feels a bit misleading and not great value overall. I just wish they had been more upfront about the full cost from the beginning

Autopay messed up my bill again, and I’m getting frustrated. I thought setting it up would make things easier, but it’s just caused more headaches. What makes it worse is that nobody followed up with me after I reached out, so I’m left trying to figure out the problem on my own.

The promo seemed kind of promising at first, but once I started comparing the actual details with other options in my area, the price was higher than I expected. It just didn’t feel worth the hassle of switching.
